Conceived at Amana clinic in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on second of October 1989 Precious stone Platinumz was named Nasibu Abdul Juma. Nasibu experienced childhood in the western side of Tandale where he was living with his mom at his grandma’s home. His dad was not involved in the upbringing because of the uncertain clash between his folks.
Life in Tandale was hard as his mom had no dependable wellspring of pay. Nasibu, his mom, and grandma were compelled to share a separate room and lease the staying two rooms which were at first for Nasibu and his mom with the end goal for them to have the capacity to pay the bills.
Nasibu Chakula Bora Nursery School in 1995 later joined Tandale Magharibi Grade School in 1996 and finished elementary school training in 2002. From the time he was in standard five Nasibu demonstrated his enthusiasm for music. He spent his developmental years impersonating neighborhood and global artistes and singing their melodies at various events. His mom purchased for his albums from different specialists and helped him in composing verses for a few melodies so he can without much of a problem sing them. His mom took him to different talent shows trusting he will get an opportunity to sing; this was against some relatives as they were of the view that music was an exercise in futility and can never be a profession, rather they needed her to urge him to focus on instruction. In 2003 Nasibu began his free school education; he figured out how to graduate in 2006. After graduation, his life as an artiste started formally.
To make it as an artiste was hard. As Nasibu was attempting to fundraise for a studio session in 2007, he was compelled to connect with himself in easygoing side jobs like selling second-hand garments, filling station orderly, outsourcing as a picture taker, and some other tasks in which there was a minimal expenditure to be earned.
There was a period he was engaged with illegal betting; all that for the cash to record his first studio single. It was difficult for him to sufficiently spare cash for one studio session and battle for his family with the money he made. He was compelled at one time to offer his mom’s gold ring for sale in a pawn shop and utilize the cash to pay for his session. As it was his first time in the studio, the tune was not a quick hit, but rather it opened entryways for him and denoted the start of his excursion as a bongo Flava music craftsman.
Through that tune, Nasibu met Chizo Mapene who volunteered to be his manager regulating all his music works. The understanding was for them to do an album. However, fishing out cash turned into an issue, and their working relationship arrived at an end without discharging that album. Dreams were smashed, and eminence was tried; connections came at an end and companions moved toward becoming outsiders. Nasibu couldn’t get a studio to sign him; his sweetheart left him disclosing to him that she can’t be with somebody who can’t accommodate her; a visionary who believes that he will be one among the colossal artists in Tanzania carrying on with the life of a Star.
In 2009 Diamond Platnumz met Msafiri Diminish otherwise known as Papa Misifa who consented to give monetary help in sustaining Jewel’s ability. They recorded his initially single titles “Nenda Kamwambie” which was a devotion to his wife who left him when he didn’t have anything. That was the tune which opened entryways for Diamond Platnumz in the music business.
